Instagram is a visual social application. Pictures make up the total of its content and the best pictures get the most views. Brands specifically make incredible use of this. They have the resources available to them to create dazzling pictures. Of course, not everyone has similar resources and that shouldn’t mean you have to make less visually engaging pictures. There’s a heap of tools that can enable you to create visually dazzling Instagram stories and posts. We recommend giving Unfold: Stories a try. It’s an iOS app worth $ 1.99 that gives you the ability to create stunning Instagram stories via beautiful templates.

Create Visually Stunning Instagram Stories

Install Unfold: Stories and tap on the plus sign button at the very top to create your first story. Give it a name and after that tap the story to start creating images.

Your new story is blank. The template pages that Unfold has are all displayed at the bottom. Swipe through them and tap the one you would like to use. Some of the templates are only text, others are pictures only, and there are a couple of hybrids that incorporate both text and picture. There’s a fairly respectable number of templates for you to use.

Add a photo and preview it by tapping on the eye button at the bottom left.

For templates that allow you to include text, you can decrease or increase the text size however you can’t change the color of the text. You can edit the title and description separately with the aim that one has a bigger font than the other. There aren’t any font selection available and you basically just have a white framed theme.

When you’ve finished composing your story, tap the download button at the upper right. You can save the current page, or all of the pages i.e. the whole story to your camera roll. To upload them, you have to open Instagram. Unfold does not upload the pictures for you.

The Limitations

The templates in Unfold are pretty cool. It doesn’t give you the ability to change the color of the text and it has no other color themes which are the only limitation. On the surface of it, this may appear like a noteworthy downside however the templates for the pages are perfect and it’s difficult to imagine they would fall short for any kind of need. They will look best if your pictures are in muted color through the white frame and the deep grey text can bring out dynamic pictures similarly too. If you’re stressed over the text not being visible on a picture, the template ensures that never happens. The text is either on a strong white background or a grey overlay. We’re just sad this is only for Instagram stories and not normal posts. It’s a stunning app that should not be limited to just stories alone especially now that you can post different photos in a single Instagram post.
