Nokia has been struggling lately to meet up with other top competitors in terms of mobile smartphone production for a couple of years. Latest leak suggests that HMD Global Oy is currently working on two variants of Android smartphones that will be released under Nokia as the brand name.
If this information is correct, then the company’s long time break is finally around the corner. Two phones which were manufactured by Foxconn are expected to launch and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat based on the Nokia Launcher Z with IP68 certification. They will feature AMOLED display panels with QuadHD resolution.
Both phones will also be powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset. The smaller one will come bundled with a 5.2-inch screen, while the bigger model will come with a 5.5-inch screen. Nokiapoweruser made a remark that the sensors on both devices are likely to be the “utmost sensitive ever and will also be based upon Nokia’s extensive research on wonder material Graphene”.
HMD Global Oy, is a Finnish based company that purchased some portion of Nokia’s phone assets from Microsoft Mobile in May. The company also have marketing and distributing rights to the said smartphones. In an earlier released statement, the company has said this:

HMD’s new smartphone and tablet portfolio will be based on Android, uniting one of the world’s iconic mobile brands with the leading mobile operating system and app development community.
Concerning the release date, there are speculations that it might be before this year runs out or early next year. The two smartphones will be expected to launch in China, and the bigger version will a price tag of $500.
