How To Unlock Your Android Phone Just By Looking At It

Users also have the option to unlock their phone by pairing it with a smartwatch, but if you don’t have a device to pair your Android phone you can as well use the face recognition to unlock your phone. Here is how to go about it.

The face recognition option is part of the smart lock feature available in almost all Android devices and Chromebooks. To enable this option, open your device settings app and navigate to Security > Smart Lock. If you notice that the Smart Lock option is disabled or grayed out, it is likely because you haven’t set up a screen lock option on your device. Enable Screen lock and after that head over to Smart Lock and enable it.

The Smart Lock option offers you lots of different methods of unlocking your Android device, you can add a trusted device, you can pair it with a trusted device, a trusted voice or a trusted face. For our main purpose, navigate to the ‘Trusted Face’ option and select it. After that you will be prompted to add a trusted face.

Make sure you are in a bright and clear place. It shouldn’t be too bright though and it shouldn’t be very dark. Position your face in the oval outline and wait for it to finish recording your face. After it must have completed recording your face, you can now use your face as a key to unlock your device.

unlock pattern now lock your mobile device and then glance at it briefly before swiping up to unlock it. You will not be asked to enter your or PIN. The good thing i love about the feature is that it doesn’t take you directly to your home screen and but instead requires you to swipe up.
