The most recent Windows 10 update pushed to Windows Insiders has a mode that gamers will particular find helpful. The new Game Mode may make programs that optimize Windows 10 for gaming pointless as Microsoft wants to make the OS ideal for gaming.
The Makers overhaul is taking off first to users subscribers on the Windows Insiders program. The new segment that shows up in Windows 10 settings lets you enable Game Mode, and this optimizes the processor to a dedicate a large portion of its resources to the game.
In a blog post on its website, Microsoft said that it expects to make Windows 10 the best gaming platform and to continue improving the OS for better gaming experience:
Last year, we set out to make Windows 10 the best Windows ever for gaming. With Game Mode, it’s our goal to now take things a step further to make the gaming experience on Windows even better. Our vision is that Game Mode optimizes your Windows 10 PC for an improvement in overall game performance.
Aside from this, the most recent update also accompanies an in-built Beam streaming that gives you a chance to broadcast your gameplay. This will probably be rolled out to all users later in the year when Insiders have completely tested the build and all issues reported have been solved.
