Get iOS 10 Developer Builds Before The Public Beta Release
At WWDC 2016. Apple announced iOS 10 and has made the beta version available to developers that same day. Apple’s public beta program is very much active and users who wish to test run the new version of the iOS will have to wait till mid July for iOS 10’s beta to be made available to the general public. If you are not a developer and eager to try out the new version of iOS then there is still another way out to get it. Granted, the mid of July is not too far anymore, but the date is just uncertain at present. Here is how you can successfully get iOS 10 Beta on your iPhone now.
Though this process requires you to have an iPhone or iPad that is supported by iOS 10. You don’t need to have a jailbroken device. Please before you begin, back up your device. It’s very important to do it
iOS 10 beta is currently made available via Zesita, which was formally known as X-Cydia. It’s a handy tool that allows you download apps that apple wouldn’t allow on the App Store but unlike Cydia, it actually does not require a jailbroken device for it to be installed.
Step 1: Now install Zestia by typing “zestia.Imdinterative.com” in your address bar in Safari browser or better still you can visit the link at the end of the post in Safari on your iPad or iPhone. Note that the said link will only work in Safari browser and no other browser. Next, tap the “Install Zestia” button. You will be prompted to install Zestia 2.0 profile, tap “Install”. You will also be asked to enter your Apple passcode. When the download is completed, the Zestia app will be added to your home screen.
Step 2: Now open the Zestia app and at the top of the app’s home screen you will see “iOS 10 Developer Beta 1” show up as a featured app. If it doesn’t show up, you will have to search for it manually in the applications list. Though Zestia lacks a search feature. Now tap the install button.
You will be prompted to install a new profile, all you need to do is accept the terms of use, and restart your device.
Step 3: After you’ve restarted your phone, open the device Settings app. Go to General> Software Update and behold, you will see a new version of iOS i.e. The said iOS 10 beta 1 is now available to download. Now tap on the “Download and Install” button and you are just good to go. Also, make sure you’ve already backed up your device before doing all this.
