The leaked renders from Evan Bass though missed some key details like the sensors for the iris scanner. A smartphone accessory maker named Olixar, hinted at its own leak that the smartphone will be having a USB Type-C port located at the very bottom of the device as usual, S-Pen slot and a loudspeaker are all placed on one side, with a headphone jack on the other side and an iris scanner which will also serve as an alternative method to unlock the device.
Due to the presence of the Type-C USB port, the Korean company might also release a new Gear VR headset as the present ones currently in use can only be connected through a micro-USB to Samsung smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will also be the first Samsung smartphone to be supporting a Type-C USB port in the Note series. Some of the expected features include a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a 12MP rear and 5MP front facing camera. With an inbuilt storage of 64GB, 6GB of RAM and a micro-SD card slot is fully supported.
Two different variants based on processors will also be available. A model will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Soc while the other will spot the company’s original Exynos 8893 chipset. The launch date still remains August 2nd In New York.
