Troubleshoot And Fix The Windows 10 Start Menu

The Windows 10 Start menu is of the most problematic feature of the OS. If it is working well for you then you’re lucky but there are hordes or users who have a dysfunctional Start Menu that fails to open, it fails to launch applications doesn’t allow you pin applications, gets stuck, and won’t allow you access the list of all the installed applications, among the other things. For those with a buggy Start Menu deal with a very vital feature on their desktop being of no use.

Users try different tricks to fix the problem but no trick has been said to have track down and fix the problem for everybody and many fixes that work for some users sometimes do not work for others. Microsoft knows there is a problem and has already released a tool named Windows 10 Troubleshooting Tool which the aim is to troubleshoot and fix known problems with the Start Menu.

The Windows 10 Troubleshooting Tool appears to work like the default Windows troubleshooter but specializes in fixing whatsoever is wrong with the Start Menu. This might also include problems with a particular user, registry entries, account and more. All you need to do is run the tool and allow it to scan your Start Menu for known problems. If you have trust in Microsoft, why wouldn’t you, click on the “Advance” option and then allow it to automatically implement any kind of fix it thinks suitable.

The tool will now scan the Start Menu for problems and similar to the troubleshoot tool on Windows, it will tell you what is wrong and if there is any possible fix available

If you have ever used the in-built troubleshooting tool in Windows to find problems such as no internet connectivity despite the fact that you are connected to a working WIFI network, you should know that the tool does not always succeed to figure out the solution and the same can also happen with this tool. It is still worth the try if your Start Menu is behaving funny.

The tool can as well do with improvements which means by adding options to troubleshoot Windows Search, Cortana, and Action Center all of which are associated with bugs just like the Start Menu.
